A Crazy Thing Called Friendship
Friendship is something so necessary to a person's life. Friends are the people who lift you up, make you smile, and make the craziness of life bearable. I have learned this, and by doing so I am certain I have some of the greatest friends in the world. Don't worry, ya'll will hear about them all throughout the year. Junior year has been full of new beginnings and with new discoveries about who you are can lead to meeting new people. Don't ever feel fear in being who you are, because you will find people who accept you. True friends will accept you, no matter what. All of the people in my life who I consider friends are some of the most important people in my life. I would not be able to survive junior year without my friends. I wouldn't have been able to survive freshmen and sophomore year without my friends. High school is a place where friendship is important. And one rule I live by is this: don't let people make you feel bad for wanting to be friends with someone.
I honestly have some of the greatest friends ever. They accept me as the emotional, needy, and insane person I am. They see my flaws, for I have many, but they look past them. Junior year has been a year of growth and discovery, but it's only halfway over. There's still so much to learn.
You can find friends anywhere. I found one of my best friends just by realizing we live on the same part of town. One drive home turned into a daily ritual that is now my favorite parts of the day. It was an unexpected bond but if I didn't have her now, I don't know what I'd do. Find people like her. Find people who don't make-or allow you to-feel inferior. Be friends with people who make you the best version of you. It's one of the greatest ways to build your self-confidence, having a friend who makes you feel the way you want to about yourself.
